(This entry is part 26 in the series “Sacred Music Television, Vol. II.”)

Otche nash, izhe yesi na nyebesyekh,
da svyatitsya imya Tvoye,
da priidet tsarstviye Tvoye,
da budyet volya Tvoya
yako na nyebesi i na zyemli.
Khleb nash nasushchnyi dazhd nam dnes,
i ostavi nam dolgi nasha,
yakozhe i mi ostavlyayem dolzhnikom nashim,
i nye vvedi nas vo iskusheniye,
no izbavi nas ot lukavago.

[Our Father, who art in heaven,
hallowed be thy name.
Thy kingdom come.
Thy will be done on earth, as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread,
and forgive us our trespasses,
as we forgive those who trespass against us,
and lead dus not into temptation,
but deliver us from evil.]

  1. Yes, we sing this at my parish. The sheet music (in English) is here:

  2. PASCENDI says:

Beautiful! But if you ever make me wear a tux at the Sung High Mass in Dix Hills… well… there will be an extra charge! You will have to do penance for me (beyond listening to me sing, that is).

    Ave Maria!
