Nuptial Mass this Saturday – open invitation
For those readers who happen to be in Manhattan this Saturday, a Solemn High Nuptial Mass in the Extraordinary Form will be celebrated at the Church of Our Saviour at 2:30 PM. Two friends who I met while I was working for Ecclesia Dei Brooklyn will be getting married; Samuel Howard, who blogs (blogged?) at Sedes Sapentiae will be the thurifer; and yours truly will chant the Gregorian propers.
I didn’t know the Mass was going to be open invitation until I saw it mentioned on The New Liturgical Movement. So, please come, pray for my two friends, and touch eternity.
This will be the second time in as many visits to this church that I will be singing for a Nuptial Mass in the Extraordinary Form. The first time was for the wedding of the founder of the aptly-named Cornell Society for a Good Time.
(Always a chanter, never a groom?)

Great stuff. I wiish I could be there. My job takes me into Manhattan about 3x a month and our offices are on Park & 40th. always a chance to visit Fr. Rutler’s piece of paradise on Park Ave.
Not much blogging going on these days… but the sidebar is up to date with my google shared items.
OK… a new blog post up… we’ll see if I can keep it up.
*grin* My word verification was Biebl (*starts singing “Ave Maria”).
Bummer….why do I live in the sticks where high culture is going to NASCAR? (not that I have anything against NASCAR).
where can i find html or character/ibm files for the complete Nuptial Mass propers, pls?
