Vox clara ecce intonat (A Thrilling Voice by Jordan Rings) in PDF format

Vox clara ecce intonat is the Lauds (Morning prayer) hymn for Advent.

Below I have provided a chant transcription from two sources. The text and translation (included in the PDF) is from Michael Martin’s extensive Thesaurus Precum Latinarum, while the melody was transcribed from a snippet of the hymn recorded by Anonymous 4 on their CD Christmas Music from Medieval Hungary with the assumption that the melody remained constant throughout the hymn.

While searching for the text of this hymn, I came across Fr. Zuhlsdorf’s exposition of this hymn from last year. Other English translations are provided by commentators there.
