Teach Children Gregorian Chant (Houston, TX)

A three-weekend workshop study course on music pedagogy for elementary schools or home schooling according to the Ward Method. MusicaSacra.com provides more details and contact information.

I was introduced to Ward Method at the CMAA Colloquium last summer. Gisbert Brandt, a teacher at the Cologne Archdiocesan Choir School, showed a videotape of a full 20-minute classroom session for first-graders that left me favorably impressed—especially compared to the music classes given at my Catholic primary and secondary schools.

I’ve found a CD that teaches kids to sing Gregorian chant. It’s called Gregorian Chant for Kids, and it’s performed by KIDS too. http://www.IconCatholicMusic.com
