Juventutem/WYD 2005 Soundtrack
In this series of posts, I will recall some of the more memorable music of Juventutem and World Youth Day 2005, and perhaps frame the context of the pieces. Some, but not all of it, will be music from the Choirbook and Hymnal.
- August 10-21: Bells
- August 18: Ecce sacerdos magnus (Bruckner)
- August 18: Christus Vincit
- August 19: O magnum mysterium (Lauridsen)
- August 20: Mass in B-minor (J. S. Bach)
- August 21: Missa Mundi (Gabriel)
Check back to this post for updates, as individual entries will be linked back to this one.

Are these all pieces which Juventutem sang|chanted?
I ask, since the Ecce sacerdos post says ‘Immediately the choir sings the instantly recognizable …’
Does that mean that the Juventutem choir sang Bruckner, or was it a different choir?
TIA.
It was a large choir inside the Dom that sang the Bruckner and the Palestrina. A few Juventutem choristers and other pilgrims were on the Roncalliplatz while this was going on. - AAE
