I’d like to point something out:
22nd of August, 22nd Sunday of OT. How often does that occur?
Is this a Hispanic church or something? As far as spanish hymns go I never liked the idea, but my churches were mostly Irish, German, or Hungarian. I really see no reason to have spanish in one of those churches, but I think it’s a great idea at churches with a large cultural majority. After all, that’s what the idea of a vernacular worship was about.
And also worthy of mention there was a small (and very bad) choir of Hungarian immigrants at my one church who would sing a traditional Hungarian hymn at communion. Definitely an interesting hymnody there.
I would like to know and learn the penitential rite prayer that is used in the catholic church throughout the world. please send me this prayer in spanish and in english, it has the saying in it “in my thoughts and in my words” Thank you for your time I look forward to your response!

Amy, you’re tlkaing about what is sometimes called the “Confiteor.” (sp?)
I’ll see if I can find it online somewhere.
I’ll post it here because you didn’t post an email address.
I confess to almighty God, and to you, my brothers and sisters, that I have sinned through my own fault, in my thoughts and in my words, in what I have done and what I have failed to do; and I ask blessed Mary, ever virgin, all the angels and saints, and you, my brothers and sisters, to pray for me to the Lord our God.
