Any reason why the Creed was omitted?

Truth be told, Matthew, I’ve come to a point where I no longer care to question why. It was omitted; the celebrant has been put on notice; whether he heeds it is in someone else’s hands. That’s all there is to it. - AE

i’ll post anonymously, i do not want my priest to think i would criticize him but he from time to time omits the creed the greeting at the beginning once even the gloria. but ithink its because our liturgy director a kind of bossy crabby woman makes him really nervous and is always changing things. i know he says there are too many options in the mass and its confusing anyway and when they add in stuff and you’ve already said two masses that day it must be easy not not remember where you are and what comes next.
when i play the organ i have trouble following things sometimes — all the priests seem to say funerals differently.
