I love the Lutkin benediction but question its position after Communion and before the “real” benediction (blessing) given by the celebrant. We did it once as the recessional on our former pastor’s last Sunday as pastor. It was sung at my father’s (Protestant) funeral to great effect. The Lutkin benediction lies well in the voice and makes choir sound good.
