You could keep the current and new ICEL translations in the new worship books for educational and/or practical purposes, I suppose—the Episcopalians, in their 1982 hymnal, include both the traditional and ICEL translations. I’m not married to the current ICEL translation—I mean, I’ll say it, but I mentally ‘correct’ it. I suppose I’ll do the same with the new one, and I won’t be alone.
