"Singing with Angels"
Arlene Oost-Zinner and Jeffrey Tucker’s article (PDF format) from the November 2003 issue of Latin Mass Magazine offers some ideas on how to pass the musical heritage of the Church on to future generations. Some of these suggestions are already being put to good use by the virtual parish’s own Bill White.

Great idea! I’ve recently started teaching the basics of chant to my children. They are very much open to the idea. As for me, one who was largely robbed from his birthright as a youth, I earnestly desire to learn what are considered to be the handful of fundamental Catholic chants.
I have recently begun teaching the childrens choirs in a parish where the music has been getting shoddier and shoddier over the past few years.
The “tweens” are a poisoned well, so to speak, if they can snap their fingers to it, they don’t want to sing it in church, but the little ones are marvelously open and eager.
And they sound so beautiful singing pslams to the psalm tones.
