A new era begins

Today was the last day of my directorship, and I spent it by exchanging farewells with the rest of the staff, completing relocation-related administrative details, and acquiring a new cellular phone for my new job. Riveting, isn’t it? It’ll be a good while before I go around looking for a local parish choir to join, as I’ll be doing on-the-job training for the foreseeable future.

Clue #2 (and #3): My new (non-musical) profession was mentioned in Thomas Day’s book, Why Catholics Can’t Sing.

You wouldn’t be laying carpet, would you?

Nope…Clue #4 will be the page number from Day’s book that mentions my new profession. This clue should be the one that gives it away.
