How the Graduale Simplex melodically compares with By Flowing Waters

In a comment to the last post (the comment has since been deleted by HaloScan), a visitor asked if the chants in By Flowing Waters are authentic. They are a very faithful adaptation of the authentic chants of the Graduale Simplex, which itself draws from the Gregorian, Mozarabic (Old Spanish), and Ambrosian (Milanese) traditions. Dr. Paul F. Ford modifies some melodies slightly to fit the translation, but without diminishing the character of the authentic chant on which they’re based.

What’s Haloscan and what did I do wrong, or should I simply not be posting here?

(I can’t tell you how much finding sites like yours means to me and my hopes for where the Catholic liturgy is going.)

    Aristotle,

I was doing an internet search on the title of my book (I am preparing an article on how it is being used) and I found your comments very encouraging and I wanted to ask how you are using the book and how it has been received. Is there a way we can be in contact? I am not used to posting comments and don’t know much about blogging.

    Gratefully,

    Paul
