Dropping bombs at staff meeting

I have faith sharing duties at today’s staff meeting, so instead of intellectualizing and sharing warm fuzzies (not that we do that every week, because we don’t), I’ll hit hard. I’ve made a Powerpoint presentation of Planned Parenthood’s poster contest in “celebration” of 30 years of Roe v. Wade, juxtaposing it with Victor Lams’ and Jeff Miller’s contest entries, adding Michael Inman’s commentary, and finally bringing it home with the recent brouhaha over the Jesuit University of San Francisco’s apparent preference for the PP solution. I’m too tired to look for a suitably ironic soundtrack, so they’ll have to deal with the silent movie. Still, this should be interesting….

Update #1: Well, it’s out there. There were a few salient points that were made that I’m still digesting. Perhaps later I will post on them.

Update #2: Amy Welborn rakes more muck. O Society of Jesus, whereto art thou come?

Update #3: I’ve decided that all I’ll say publicly about the matter is that there is hope. Sorry to keep you in suspense. Please pray for us.
