Much-needed apprenticeship, and a degree, too

After a year or so of not acting upon the invitation, I’ve finally inquired about organ lessons. I’ve developed an interest for the organ recently, one strengthened by playing a fully mechanical tracker organ for the first time at the Feast of the Assumption Mass in the small university chapel.

Additionally, I’m looking for a voice teacher to correct and enhance my vocal technique. It’s only right, given my responsibilities to the choir, to learn about the instrument we all have in common.

Finally, the time has come to complete the old B.A. The distance learning format is appealling, so I’ve enrolled at Excelsior College and am studying to earn 14 credits via exams by January. Next spring/summer will see the completion of 20 credits and the conferral of the B.A. and all the “rights, privileges, and responsibilities pertaining thereto”. Or whatever they write on that piece of paper.
