I’m kind of surprised at the Becker in there (if it’s the one I’m thinking of). Seems quite a difference from the other stuff. I’ll have to look it up.
It’s probably the same one you’re thinking of, actually. It’s a song introduced by our previous choir director and tenaciously held onto by the community. I’d like to think our presentation of it isn’t over the top, but it undoubtedly is to some.
A little bit of candy doesn’t hurt here and there — but it’s not advisable to make candy a cornerstone of one’s diet. Thus, the ‘roughage’ of LASST UNS ERFREUEN, etc.
